Quick update to let you all know that the fundraising dinner on friday went very well, and we exceeded our fundraising goal. Good times were had by all, and we also took advantage of the evening to say goodbye to one of our french interns: Marion who was returning to France on monday after spending 4 months with us.

Winter is upon us; if you have any winter jackets and / or blankets around that you no longer need, give us a call at 514-288-0039. Many of our members will have to face the winter on the street, and any warm clothing would be of great use to them!!!

Homelessness Is A Matter Of Life And Death (that's the link)

The provincial government missed the point in commissioning the Claude Castonguay report. Instead of worrying about how the private and public sectors can administer health care, the Charest government should have paid more attention to how the system can save more lives right now.

Hi all,
So it is official! I am registered to run the Ottawa marathon on behalf of St-James in may. I am looking to raise 6000$ for the centre and those we serve. Pass the word around, and follow my blog (through St-James' website) as I train throughout the winter in preparation for this really cool opportunity.

Hi all,
Update on the website: we are a little behind, but should be up and running this week! I got a glimpse at it, and it is one of the best I have seen in a while!
Keep promoting the gala dinner at the end of November. We would love to be a packed house of 100 people to celebrate nearly 25 years of St-James drop_n centre.
